Black Friday & Cyber Monday Grill Deals 2026: BBQ, Smokers & Griddles

What historically goes on sale in grills, smokers, griddles and thermometers, what rarely does, and whether to buy now or wait. Verified deals will be posted here when they go live in November — never before.

By Stephen V.Last updated How we pick

Every November the same question lands in our inbox in a dozen forms: is the grill going to be cheaper on Black Friday, or should I just buy it now? The honest answer is that it depends entirely on the product class, and that most “Black Friday grill deals” pages are written before a single deal exists, with percentages invented to fill the space. This page does the opposite. It reports what actually discounted last season, with the source for every claim, and it stays deliberately empty of deals until real ones are live.

Two things to know before reading on. First, we own none of these products and have tested none of them — here is what we do instead. Second, every price on this page is fetched live from Amazon and stamped with the date we checked it, so the numbers you see are today’s, not a memory of last year’s.

How this is funded:we earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which gift we recommend, and we’ll tell you when we’d skip one. Full disclosure.

What historically goes on sale, and what rarely does

The table below is built from dated coverage of the 2025 season — Bob Vila’s November 25 roundup, Field & Stream’s Black Friday grill list, and the Blackstone and MEATER reports from Yahoo Shopping — all listed in the Sources at the bottom of the page. It describes what happened. It is not a forecast, and a product class that discounted last year may not this year.

Product classWhat the 2025 coverage listedThe pattern
Pellet grillsTraeger Pro 575 and Ironwood 885 at $100 off at Amazon (Field & Stream); Traeger Pro 34 and Woodridge, Weber Searwood 600 and recteq Deck Boss discounted at Ace Hardware (Bob Vila)The most consistent Black Friday category in the coverage we checked, across several brands and retailers
Full-size gas grillsWeber Spirit E-325 at $149 off and Genesis S-335 at $300 off at Amazon (Field & Stream); Genesis S-415 and Q 2800N+ discounted (Bob Vila)Real dollar cuts on Weber’s main lines; Char-Broil also listed
Charcoal kettlesWeber Original Kettle 22-inch at about $17 off, roughly 11% (both sources); Weber Performer models cut more (Bob Vila)The plain kettle barely moves; the cart-mounted Performer versions do
KamadosKamado Joe Classic III at 18% off at BBQGuys with a free cover; Kamado Joe Jr at 7%; Char-Griller AKORN Jr at 15% (Bob Vila)Mixed: a real cut on the ceramic flagship, modest ones on the small cookers
Portable grillsColeman RoadTrip 285 at 31% off, Cuisinart Petit Gourmet at 33%, Char-Broil 1-burner at 42%, Weber Jumbo Joe at 15% (Bob Vila)The biggest percentage cuts in the coverage — including the Coleman RoadTrip 285 and Weber Jumbo Joe we recommend
Flat-top griddlesBlackstone 28-inch Omnivore from $224 to $157 at Walmart (Yahoo Shopping, Nov 27); Blackstone 2-burner with hood at 30% off at Ace (Bob Vila)Walmart is the historic home of the Blackstone deal; the exact model on sale changes
Wireless thermometersMEATER SE at 40% off, Plus and Pro at 30% off, Block at 40% off — for Cyber Monday (Yahoo Shopping, Nov 30)MEATER’s deepest documented cuts of the year, and they landed on the Monday, not the Friday
Small Weber accessoriesBarbecue mitt at 44% off, 2-piece tool set at 40%, burger press at 23%, Deluxe grilling basket at 19% (Bob Vila)Big percentages, small dollars — a few dollars off a $15 item
Instant-read thermometers, gloves, rubs, sauces, cookbooksNot featured in any of the 2025 coverage we checkedNo documented Black Friday pattern. Buy them when you need them

One more date worth knowing: Amazon’s own 2025 event opened on November 20 and ran through December 1, per Amazon’s announcement. The window is a fortnight, not a day, and the grill deals in the coverage above were live well before the Friday.

Buy now, or wait for November?

The rule of thumb that falls out of the table: wait on the big-ticket cookers and the gadgets with a documented pattern, and buy everything else when you need it. The reasoning is different for each class, so here it is line by line.

If you’re buyingOur guidanceWhyWhere we rank them
A pellet grillWait for Black Friday weekThe strongest documented pattern, across brandsGifts for pellet grill owners
A full-size gas grillWait if you can; buy if you see a price you likeWeber’s Spirit and Genesis lines carried real cuts in 2025, but midsummer clearance is often as goodBest gas grills
A Weber kettleBuy nowAbout $17 off last season is not worth ten weeks of waiting; the Premium version was not listed at allBest charcoal grills
A kamadoWait for the flagship; buy the small ones nowThe ceramic Classic got a real 2025 cut; the Jr and AKORN Jr moved littleGifts for kamado owners
A portable grillWait15 to 42 percent cuts across several models in 2025, including the Coleman RoadTrip 285 and Weber Jumbo Joe we recommendBest portable grills
A Blackstone griddleWait, and watch WalmartA $67 cut on the 28-inch in 2025; the discounted model changes each yearGifts for griddle owners
A MEATER or other wireless probeWait for Cyber Monday30 to 40 percent off in 2025, on the MondayBest wireless thermometers
An instant-read thermometerBuy nowNo documented pattern, and a $15 item cannot discount by enough to matterBest meat thermometers
Gloves, tools, rubs, sauces, a cookbookBuy nowNothing in the 2025 coverage; small Weber-branded tools were the exceptionGifts by budget

The one caveat that overrides all of this is the calendar. Black Friday is late November, and a grill ordered on Cyber Monday still has to arrive, be assembled and be hidden. If the gift has a hard deadline, a fair price today beats a possibly-better price that ships in December. For a gift that has to be right without a wait, our last-minute grilling gifts list is built around exactly that constraint.

Our top picks, with today’s live price

These are the category winners from across the site — the products we would be watching in November. The price on each is fetched live and stamped with the date we checked it; the note under each is what the 2025 coverage showed for its product class, not a prediction. When a verified deal goes live on one of them, this is where it will appear.

How to tell a real Black Friday grill deal from a fake one

Check the “was” price against a price you actually saw.A deal is only a deal relative to what the item cost in October. Every pick on this site shows a live price with the date we checked it, so you can note the number now and compare in November. If the “was” price on the tag is higher than anything you saw in autumn, the discount is smaller than it looks.

Confirm the model, size and configuration. The 2025 Blackstone deal was on the 28-inch two-burner, not the 36-inch; the Weber cut was on the standard kettle, not the Premium; Traeger’s discounts sat on specific Pro and Ironwood sizes. A headline that says “Blackstone 30% off” is about one listing, and the one you want may not be it.

Expect prior-generation models.Pellet grill and gas grill makers refresh their lines, and the deepest cuts often clear the outgoing version. That can be a great buy — last year’s Spirit is still a Spirit — but know which one you are getting and whether parts and covers still fit.

Watch stock, not just price. The portable grills that discounted most in 2025 were also the most likely to sell through. If a deal on a specific model is live and the price is one you would happily have paid in October, waiting three more days for Cyber Monday is a bet on availability rather than on a lower number.

Mind the shipping cutoff.Retailers publish their own last-order dates for Christmas delivery and they differ for a 200-pound grill and a two-ounce thermometer. Check the retailer’s stated cutoff at checkout rather than assuming.

Shopping for a gift rather than for yourself?

Most of the traffic to this page in November is not a griller buying a grill — it is a gift buyer trying to time a present. The good news is that the best grilling gifts are mostly the ones with no Black Friday pattern to wait for. If you want the shortlist by who you are buying for, start with gifts for BBQ lovers, gifts for meat lovers or gifts for dad. If you know what they cook on, the Traeger and pellet grill, Blackstone and griddle and Big Green Egg and kamado pages are sharper. And for the whole site sorted by price, there is gifts by budget, with the December-specific lists at Christmas grilling gifts and stocking stuffers.

Frequently asked questions

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30, 2026. Retailers open earlier than the day itself: Amazon's 2025 event ran from November 20 through December 1, per Amazon's own announcement. Expect the grill deals to start appearing in the third week of November.

Do grills actually go on sale for Black Friday?

Yes. The 2025 coverage we checked listed discounts across pellet grills (Traeger, Weber Searwood, recteq), full-size gas grills (Weber Spirit and Genesis, Char-Broil), portable gas and charcoal grills, kamados, and Blackstone griddles. The cuts ranged from a modest $17 on a standard Weber kettle to more than $100 on pellet and gas grills, and 15 to 42 percent on portable grills. What went on sale and by how much varied a lot by product class — see the table on this page.

Is Black Friday the best time to buy a grill?

Not always. Tasting Table's guide to grill-buying seasons puts the steepest discounts in midsummer, when stores clear inventory before fall stock arrives, and describes the Father's Day and Black Friday sales as real but typically less dramatic. Black Friday is strongest for pellet grills and online-native brands, and for gadgets like wireless thermometers. If you missed the end-of-season clearance and need the grill for a December gift, Black Friday week is the next real window.

Do Weber grills go on sale on Black Friday?

In 2025, Weber's full-size gas grills did: Field & Stream listed the Spirit E-325 at $149 off and the Genesis S-335 at $300 off at Amazon, and Bob Vila listed the Genesis S-415 and Q 2800N+ discounted. The standard 22-inch Original Kettle moved only about $17. Small Weber accessories — a mitt, a two-piece tool set, a burger press, the Deluxe grilling basket — carried some of the biggest percentage cuts in the coverage.

Does MEATER go on sale for Black Friday?

MEATER's documented discounts in 2025 landed on Cyber Monday rather than Black Friday: Yahoo Shopping reported the MEATER SE at 40% off, the Plus and Pro at 30% off, and the Block at 40% off. If a wireless probe is the gift, waiting for the Monday after Thanksgiving is the pattern the evidence supports.

Should I wait for Cyber Monday instead of Black Friday?

For thermometers and other gadgets, the 2025 pattern favored Cyber Monday. For grills themselves, the discounts in the 2025 coverage were already live during Black Friday week, and we found no evidence that they improved on the Monday. If the item you want is discounted on Black Friday and stock is limited, waiting three days for a possibly-better price is a gamble on availability, not on price.

Will you post the actual deals here?

Yes, when they are live and only after we have verified each one against the live price we fetch from Amazon. Every entry will show the current price and the date we checked it, the same way every pick on this site does. We do not post rumored deals, leaked ads or predicted discounts, and we will not invent a percentage to make a page look busier.

I need a grilling gift before the deals start. What should I buy now?

Anything with no documented Black Friday pattern: instant-read thermometers, heat gloves, rubs and sauces, cookbooks, and the standard Weber kettle, which barely moved last season. Save the wait for pellet grills, full-size gas grills, griddles, portable grills and wireless thermometers, where the 2025 evidence shows real cuts.
