When you click a “View on Amazon” or “Check price” button on this site and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That commission is how Char Chimney stays free to read. It does not change the price you pay, and it does not change which products we recommend.

Char Chimney is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Our Amazon Associates tag is t5bbq-20.

All of our outbound product links route through a redirect on our own domain (a /golink) before sending you to the retailer. That’s standard practice: it lets us keep links tidy and swap a retailer if a product moves, without changing the page. Those links are marked as sponsored, as search engines require.

What it changes — and what it doesn’t

What it doesn’t change: your price, our recommendations, or our rankings. We choose picks on the merits (see How We Pick), and when a cheaper product is the better buy, we say so even though it may earn us less. We’ll also tell you when we’d skip a product entirely. We accept no payment to feature products and no free products in exchange for coverage.

What it does change: it keeps the lights on, so we can keep the guides free and the prices live.

Prices

Every price shown is fetched live from the retailer and stamped with the date it was checked. Prices change constantly and we don’t control them; when we can’t confirm a current price, the page shows “check price” instead of a number that might be out of date. Always confirm the final price on the retailer’s own page before buying.
